Can We Normalize Working?

A disclaimer on my topic this week – you might not like it. It's on working and working a LOT.

It's okay, we still need to talk about it.

I see a lot of OT business coaches talking about finding ways not to work that much, or going into business because they hated treating patients and didn't want to be delegated to working all the time.

Well…I hate to break it to you, but you will NEED to work hard. But you are here because you want to have your own business one day or have a business and you want to grow it.

You want the opportunity to change your financial life.

If you want to work less hours….keep working for someone else because you can clock out.

When you work for yourself, you can and will work all the time. There's no clocking out (most of time). If you don't want to work with "patients", those will be replaced with other customers. As a business, we need to meet our customers needs, not our own.

This week, I share my thoughts about working and really what it takes to run your own business. We THINK we want to work anywhere. We THINK we want to work when we want to work.
