When looking at a shoulder, I always like to check out the scapula and compare it to the other shoulder. You can look at it in a static position then look at it from various dynamic positions aka movements.
**correction – don't come for me…it was the medial boarder closest the the spine not the lateral border**
There's a lot of various ways to evaluation a shoulder….this was just one way that I wanted to show you when looking at why someone who has persistent pain, but they "look" like they have great motion….keep digging because there is an imbalance somewhere.
This is just the start to finding the problem, testing what works and what doesn't work, and making decisions about what to do next so that you can get the best possible results for your patients.
