How To Organize Splint Materials? | Quick Guide for Occupational Therapists
Some therapist feel like splinting (ie orthosis fabrication) is really hard and intimidating. Like everything else in life, it's about getting practice.
This video shares with you a glimpse into my clinic that I own and run. I'm a huge advocate for Occupational Therapists learning to create orthosis no matter your setting! I did a ton in acute care, help those in SNF/Rehab, and it's a must have in outpatient hands. Don't think kids don't need you to know splinting either! They have two hands that explore the world.
This is why I have created Orthosis 101 – a program that you get to keep, materials so that you can practice, and learn step by step instructions to create 2 major orthoses. Once you build the foundation – you can build anything you need. This program not only includes videos, ceu's, but you get a package of materials for you to practice over and over again :)
