Is It Arthritis or A Nerve Issue? #shorts

June 15, 2026

I was working with a patient on her tendon laceration when she started telling me about her arthritis. Her finger felt completely useless and changed, and she thought it was just arthritis. But arthritis causes bony changes, it doesn't typically cause nerve weakness. She didn't have numbness or tingling, but she had weakness, and weakness in the hand almost always comes from somewhere else like the neck or shoulder. Nerves start in your neck, go through your shoulder, and end in your hand. If you only treat the hand, you'll miss the root cause.

If you’re not sure on what protocols to use on your patients, or what treatments to perform, let me give you that clarity. Join The Mentorship Program where we cover real patient cases, anatomy, and the clinical reasoning you need to treat with confidence.
